PORTAL

A site-specific light installation presented at Ujazdowski Castle Centre in September 2025.

PORTAL was designed and produced by the studio specifically for a one-night event, using custom software and hardware developed in-house. The project took the form of a 20-meter tunnel of light composed of 120 LED strips arranged along a narrow passage. Suspended lines extending from the entrance to the surrounding walls framed the structure, transforming a corridor into an immersive transition between two environments.

Functioning as a passage, it made visitors move through a continuously evolving field of light where generative patterns travel along the tunnel’s length. Running in real time at 100 frames per second, the system produces smooth waves of motion that emphasize depth and direction, pulling the viewer forward through the structure.
